This model provides a visualization of an octree data structure. Octrees are an excellent way to store 3D information efficiently. An octree divides space into eight sections, each of which can be divided further for easy spatial searching and for nonuniform subdivision levels. This octree is storing voxels (with matter occupancy and material information) shown in blue, and saels (with radiance and light direction information) shown glowing. Created for the Quidient website.
